Orthodontic Postgraduate Exchange Program between the Schools of Dentistry at the University of Geneva and the University of Southern California
The Olsburgh Smile Foundation sponsors on a regular basis an Orthodontic postgraduate from the University of Geneva to participate in an informal exchange program with the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry, University of Southern California (‘USC’), in Los Angeles.
The selected postgraduate can experience one week of didactic and clinical immersion, enabled by Prof. Glenn T. Sameshima, DDS, PhD, Chairman, Program Director and Clinic Director of the graduate program in orthodontics at USC and an honorary member on the Foundation Board.
The exchange program aims to offer different styles of education and ways of practice, as well as enhancing the ability to connect, communicate and collaborate with others. It will also contribute to creating a long-lasting network.
Based on the advice of an independent expert, the Foundation Board selected Ms. Kelly Billiaert, a 3rd year postgraduate at the University of Geneva, for the 2025 exchange at USC! It took place during the week of February 24 to 28, 2025.

Highly motivated, she declared on her return: “This exchange with USC was a unique learning experience that enabled me to explore a new academic and cultural environment. It was also an invaluable opportunity to meet students and teachers on site, to exchange with them and to create enriching relationships.” The whole team on site also had a lot of pleasure meeting Kelly!

Each year, the Foundation will select a postgraduate student, with the help of an independent expert, to participate in this exchange program.
Further information on the exchange program is available by clicking here.
Candidates must submit the application form, along with their detailed resumé and a letter of motivation by October 31, 2024.
